What Our Customers Are Saying

A high percentage of our business is from repeat customers and referrals. Mahalo and Aloha!

“5 out of 5 Stars for Silvia! I had sciatica problems for months and had tried acupuncture, shots, physical therapy and nothing worked.  I went to Silvia and her healing massage eased the pain so I could walk again without having to sit down every 5 minutes. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.” Richard Dickson

“When I came in last week I saw Debbie and she was amazing. This was the best massage I have had in quite awhile! She also had great customer service and made me feel relaxed.”

“Such an awesome experience.  Probably the best massage I have ever had.  Debbie is really gifted.  Thank you.” Keoni

“I highly recommend Silvia Suh for massage therapy and bodywork. She is technically skilled, sensitive and intuitive. You will really enjoy and benefit from her work as I have, for specific therapy as well as general relaxation and rejuvenation.”

John C. Burchard OMD, L.MTL.AC. Trainer and examiner for the national massage and acupuncture boards.

“I am 76 years old and for decades have been receiving massages on a weekly basis because I deeply believe in their health benefits.  When I met Silvia, I so appreciated her energy that I wanted to try her massage believing that she brings a deeper healing and spiritual energy to her work. I found her massage to be very special, so much so that I gifted one of her massages to a young friend, an ex-football player.  We both agreed that despite our age and physical differences, that her massage was unique and very wonderful.  She is committed to and gifted in her work.  I would strongly recommend her to any of my friends.” Didi Leong

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if I have to cancel my appointment?
Unexpected changes can happen. Please note that as soon as you book a therapist, their schedule is immediately blocked off for you. This means they are unable to be booked by anyone else during that time. We ask that you provide at least 24 hours notice to cancel any bookings. We do understand that life is uncertain and emergencies do come up.  We will do our very best to work with you to meet your needs.
What should I expect?

Getting a massage can be a great experience! It is important to know what will take place and how it will happen. Read below to learn more 🙂

Before the Appointment

It may be advisable not to eat right before your massage, so that your body is not processing food during the session. Also make sure that you are drinking plenty of fluids.

The beginning of the appointment will involve a health and history screening. You’ll be asked questions such as:

  • Medical issue(s);
  • Problematic areas:
  • The type of pressure you like;
  • Your general contact info

This is a good time to ask questions, and find out about the style of massage that you have requested. It will also give the therapist a good chance to gauge your discomfort and find which areas need to be worked on immediately. When you are ready you will dress down as far as is comfortable and lie down for your session.

During the Session

The therapist will set up the room. Remember that you can ask for changes to make you comfortable, such as if you are cold, or wish to let the massage therapist know that you are uncomfortable with specific areas of your body being touched. The massage therapist will drape your body, so you are not exposed. Some therapists also play music, and if you wish you can make requests to change the music, or how you are draped as well.

To get the most from the session just try to relax, let your thoughts wander, and do not focus on stressful thoughts. Some practitioners recommend that you focus on the feeling of the massage to clear your mind. If you are having trouble or tension in your muscles, then let your therapist know as they may need to change their technique. It is normal to experience differing emotions and it is okay to speak, but you may benefit more if you let your worries go.

After the session

After the session the therapist will exit the room. Take your time to get dressed and ready to go, then when you leave the session room you will want to get some water, as this will help clear your body of stress. Once you are done, try to take the rest of the day off to receive the full benefit of the massage. The benefits of massages will be more advantageous if you get a massage regularly. As you get more comfortable with the process you will find that you are more relaxed, and even energized after your massage session.

Do I have to get completely undressed?
You should undress to the level you are comfortable. For a full body massage, most get completely undressed. However, if you will be more comfortable during the session if you leave your underwear on, that’s fine. The therapist will work around the clothes you left on as best as he/she can.  Your massage therapist should give you privacy to undress and get comfortable on the table.
How long will the treatment last?
The average full-body massage treatment lasts approximately 60 to 90 minutes.  However, please allow an extra 30 minutes in your schedule for the therapist to setup and take your medical history.  A half-hour appointment only allows time for a partial massage session, such as neck and shoulders, back or legs and feet. Many people prefer a 60 to 90-minute session for optimal relaxation. Always allow relaxation time prior to and after the session 🙂
What areas of the Big Island do you service?

Is this considered an exotic massage?
All of our massage therapists are licensed by the Hawaii State Board of Massage Therapy and offer professional, therapeutic massages. No funny business here 🙂
